Of all the counties in Ireland none is more fabled than Majestic Kerry. Facing the broad Atlantic, Kerry is a county of breath-taking contrasts. Kerry is a place where the visitor is swept along by a sense of wonder at the wealth of treasures bestowed by the creator. Though an immense county, Kerry is still a place for lovers of all the good things in life. The scenery is magnificent, from the Lake District surrounding Killarney, to the spectacular scenic drives on the Dingle and Ring of Kerry peninsulas, the visitor discovers new vistas to savour with each bend in the road. This part of Ireland benefits from the warm Gulf Stream currents with the result that tropical plants abound.

KENMARE, our base for this holiday in Kerry is known as the ‘Jewel on the Ring of Kerry’ and nestles on the seashore at the foot of the Cork and Kerry mountains. The town founded in 1670 by Sir William Petty has many of its original features preserved. One of Kenmare’s oldest traditions, lace making, is still practiced and demonstrations can be seen in the Heritage Centre. Our tour around the 110-mile Ring of Kerry will include stops in Cahersiveen, Waterville of Charlie Chaplin fame and Sneem with breathtaking views of the rugged Atlantic coastline.

KENMARE BAY HOTEL (www.kenmarebayhotel.com) is a 3***hotel set on spacious gardens with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and just a few steps into Kenmare town. The décor at the hotel affords soothing colour schemes, creating a comfy and welcoming atmosphere. This coach tour begins from mid-Ulster to Belfast at app 8am on Monday 3rd June, followed by pickups on our way to Armagh and Newry with opportunity for breakfast and comfort stop at AppleGreen Services. Then mid way we stop for lunch in a hotel, close to the motorway before continuing on the N7 to Killarney and Kenmare via Limerick with an afternoon break in the lovely thatched village of Adare. Our return journey on Saturday 8th June will include a visit to the Irish National Stud at Kildare with comfort and snack stops at various points enroute before reaching your set-down point in Northern Ireland.
