Full Day Aviemore & Spey Valley Steam
Time free in Aviemore, before boarding the steam train for the 45 minute journey through spectacular Speyside mountainous scenery. Time free in Grantown on Spey followed by a visit to the Speyside Centre, Dulnain Bridge, a new visitor experience about Cairngorms National Park. It’s myths, legends folklore and the history of whisky and heathers. (70 miles).

Full Day Kyle Line & Isle of Skye
Board the train in Inverness, the Highland Capital for “one of the most beautiful rail journeys in Europe” – Michael Palin. In Kyle your coach collects you for the short journey to the Isle of Skye with time for sightseeing. Returning to your hotel by coach through wonderful Highland splendour. (Please note above may be reversed). (110 miles).

Full Day Jacobite Steam Line
Join the Jacobite Steam Train in Fort William on the two hour journey to Mallaig - made world famous in the  absorbing movies - beautiful views of lochs, mountains, Glenfinnan Viaduct and the small Isles of Eigg, Muck and Rum. In Mallaig free time to look round this Highland Fishing town and have lunch. The road journey back in your coach is very different to the rail journey with a stop off in Glenfinnan to see Bonnie Prince Charlie’s monument, the massive viaduct & Loch Shiel, and finally Banavie’s Neptunes Staircase, a series of 8 lock gates on the Caledonian Canal. (92 miles). (To make the most of the day passengers travel one leg by train and one leg by coach.)

Our hotel for the entire holiday is the 3***Duke of Gordon in Kingussie in the Highlands. In the heart of the Scottish Highlands hotel offers the warmest of Highland welcomes. With its origins in the eighteenth century the hotel was builtas a stopover for passengers travelling by stagecoach along the old A9 to Inverness and North of Scotland. The facilities and atmosphere experienced in the hotel together with the hospitality and welcome extended by staff make the Duke of Gordon  the ideal place to stay in the Highlands. The hotel prides itself on its restaurant and excellence of cuisine. The experience of dining in the elegance of our impressive Balmoral Restaurant is not easily forgotten.   

This tours starts on Tuesday 20th July with coach pickups from mid-Ulster to Belfast for the 7.30am Stena Superfast ferry to Cairnryan returning on Saturday 24th on the 7.30pm Stena Superfast ferry sailing and due in Belfast 9.45pm. On both outward and return journeys there will be sufficient comfort and snack stops to ensure everyone's comfort on this tour.
