Majorca or Mallorca, whatever way you prefer to spell it, and whatever way you wish to pronounce it, is the largest of the Balearic Islands and along with its sister islands of Menorca and Ibiza, it lies in the Mediterranean Sea off the south coast of mainland Spain. PLAYA DE MURO - our resort for this holiday is Playa de Muro, one of Majorca’s newest resort destinations on the north coast nestling between the port of Alcudia and the S’Albufera wetlands. Until a few years ago it was just a small village but with growing demand for tourist accommodation the resort of Alcudia has expanded eastwards towards C’an Picafort to the point where Alcudia and Playa de Muro have effectively merged. There is a large beach at Playa de Muro that seems to stretch forever, actually its 4.5 miles long with high quality hotels and apartments.
