7 Day Cruise and Tour

The Cruise and Tour

This seven day cruise and tour incorporates the best in Highland Scotland including Aberdeenshire on the outward journey and on our return from Orkney we travel through Caithness and Sutherland to Inverness. On our first day we travel north from Cairnryan following our sailing at 7.30am from Belfast to our overnight hotel near Aberdeen. Then on Sunday a morning service in Aberdeen, followed by a guided city tour on Sunday afternoon before sailing with Northlink Ferries to Lerwick Shetland at 7pm.

The sailing with Northlink Ferries from Aberdeen to Lerwick Shetland includes full board and en-suite cabins and we are due to arrive in Lerwick Shetland at 7.30am next morning. We are now about to discover some of Europe’s most remote islands, which have changed little in generations, being distinctly different to the lifestyle of the people in the rest of the United Kingdom mainland. The spirit of the Isles and its people is truly inspiring in both its culture and welcome.

With the help of local island guides we experience the islands history, archaeology, folklore, tradition and wildlife. To compliment this amazing Shetland and Orkney cruise and tour, we have included three nights in the Scottish Highlands, one in Aberdeenshire, and two in Inverness to enable a visit to fairytale Dunrobin Castle and Gardens near Golspie which has been home to the Earls and Dukes of Sutherland since 1401.
