FJORDS MOUNTAINS & GLACIERS

9-DAY CRUISE FROM BELFAST
on FRED.OLSEN'S BOUDICCA
Sunday 30th April until Monday 8th May

Venture deep into Norway’s breath taking fjordland and enjoy views of simply spectacular scenery from the decks of smaller-sized Boudicca, gliding along breath taking waterways that guests on larger cruise ships wouldn't experience as they cruise directly from port to port.

After embarking the ship in Belfast you’ll spend just two days at sea before stepping ashore in Olden. Here you could join an exciting trek through the Briksdalen Valley to see the beautiful Briksdal Glacier – an arm of the astonishing Jostedalsbreen, Europe’s largest inland glacier. An unforgettable evening of scenic cruising along the Nordfjord follows, passing the towering Hornelen sea cliff.

In Flåm you’ll have the opportunity to ride the famous Flamsbana Railway and see the cascading Kjosfossen Waterfall up-close, or kayak on the glassy waters of Aurlandsfjord before sailing along the Nærøyfjord. The incredible scenery of this UNESCO-listed passage through some of the most dramatic landscapes in Europe has to be seen to be believed, and you’ll have unspoilt views from on board Boudicca.

Beautiful Bergen is your final Norwegian call. Be sure to wander around the charming, UNESCO-listed Bryggen Wharf and admire the colourful wooden structures; and ride the funicular up Mount Fløyen for superb views. You could also see several of Edvard Munch’s works at the fantastic Bergen Art Museum; or visit the Troldhaugen – the former home of Edvard Grieg – which today is an interesting museum dedicated to the great composer.

En-route back to Belfast you will also enjoy a call into Kirkwall, the capital of Scotland’s picturesque Orkney Islands. Explore the town’s rugged surroundings in search of seabirds and other native fauna; or perhaps visit Skara Brae, the best-preserved Neolithic village in Northern Europe – a wonderful conclusion to this scenic adventure.

Up to 880 people can enjoy a cruise on board Boudicca – not the thousands to be found on most ships these days – so there’s plenty of space for everyone. Plus, Boudicca is small enough to reach shores that many rival cruise ships simply cannot access, so guests on board can get closer to the sights that they want to see. Inside, indulge yourself at the Tintagel and Four Seasons Restaurants. Lounge around on the Lounge Deck, or in one of our two Jacuzzis. Or splash around in one of our three pools. And when the sun’s shining, our tasty poolside buffet will hit the spot. You'll have days and nights to remember on board Boudicca.

As this is a 9-Day cruise from Belfast with two full days cruising at the beginning and end we are offering outside cabins to enhance the experience. Departing from Belfast this cruise should suit all those who wish to avoid flying and enjoy convenience. Our tour leader Yvonne will be on hand to arrange fellowship and fun times for our group.
